Just as I resigned myself to the term “social media” along comes “social business.”
Good grief CB, did you have to name it that?
To me, it all depends on which side of the firewall I happen to be standing. If I’m on the inside, I really want everyone to be collaborative and focused. Save the “social” for break time and after hour drinks.
While standing on the outside, I would prefer that you focused on reliability and trust. Forget "social," that’s why I have friends. Sure, I want you to listen to what I have to say, and to speak when you’re spoken to, but dinner conversation just isn’t in the cards.
Don’t get me wrong. The “intended” meaning is spot on when it comes to the direction of business. “Social” platform technologies are being utilized on both sides of the firewall. Socialtext®, Jive®, and SharePoint® to name a few. As I’ve said before, the brand is now dynamic and the circle of commerce complete.
…Get Set – GO!
All consultancy’s on deck. It’s time to walk the talk. I can hear the cloud thesaurus requiring your laptop fan to engage.
